Wichita State guard Joe Mitchell has decided to leave the men's basketball program, Head Coach Gregg Marshall announced today.
"Joe has made a personal decision to no longer be a member of our basketball program," Marshall said. "We wish him the best in all his future endeavors."
Mitchell, a 6-foot-1 junior from Wichita, sat out 2011-12 after transferring from Ohio University after playing at Hutch Community College. Muitchell averaged 18 points a game at Hutchinson. He played high school basketball at Wichita Southeast.
