KANSAS CITY (AP) -- Alex Rodriguez homered for the fifth straight
game as New York's Yankees beat Kansas City 6-3. A-Rod now has 52
homers on the year and 516 in his career. He has 140 RBIs this
season.
Winning pitcher Chien-Ming Wang (chee-EHN' ming wawng) earned
his 18th win of the season as the Yankees extended their American
League wild-card lead over Detroit to four games.
Wang is now 18-and-6 while Brandon Duckworth fell to 2-and-5.
New York's Mariano Rivera came on for his 25th save in 28 chances.
