ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Vicente Padilla (puh-DEE'-yuh) pitched
two-hit shutout ball for six innings and the Texas Rangers held off
the Kansas City Royals 3-2. Hank Blalock had two hits and two RBIs.
Padilla is 5-and-9 with the win. Joaquin Benoit (wah-KEEN'
ben-WAH'), the Rangers' fifth pitcher, threw a perfect ninth for
his third save in seven chances.
