ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Ian Kinsler raced home with the go-ahead
run on catcher Jason LaRue's throwing error in the seventh inning
and the Texas Rangers held off Kansas City 9-8.
Kinsler went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and scored two runs for
Texas, which has won eight of ten.
With the game tied at 6, the Rangers executed a double-steal
with Kinsler on second and Michael Young on first. Kinsler scored
when catcher Jason LaRue threw wildly past third base.
John Rheinecker is 2-and-1 with the win. C.J. Wilson yielded a
run while getting the last two outs for his 11th save in 12
chances.
