The Kansas City Chiefs have picked up
two players on waivers.
The club said today it claimed cornerback Rashad Barksdale from
Philadelphia and quarterback Tyler Thigpen from Minnesota.
The 5-foot-11, 208-pound Barksdale was drafted in 2007 by the
Eagles in the 6th round. He played at Albany State, where he
recorded 37 tackles and three interceptions in 10 games during his
senior year.
At 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, Thigpen was the first of Minnesota
two seventh-round draft picks in 2007. He took Costal Carolina to a
30-8 record, completing 486 of 879 passes for 6,600 yards with 53
touchdowns and 25 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,626 yards and
13 touchdowns on 346 carries.
