CHICAGO (AP) -- Billy Butler drove in three runs as Kansas City
held off Chicago's White Sox for a 7-6 win. The Sox made a game of
it by scoring 3 times in the bottom of the ninth with the big blow
being a three-run home run by Josh Fields.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Royals, who
are tied with the White Sox for last place in the American League
Central division.
Brian Bannister got the win, his fifth in seven starts. He is
now 10-and-7 while loser Jose Contreras drops to 6-and-16.
