KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City running back Larry Johnson
says he isn't sure he will be at full speed for the season opener.
The Chiefs open at Houston on September 9th, and Johnson says
he's getting ready as quickly as he can.
Johnson signed a five-year contract extension this week for a
guaranteed 19 million dollars. He would receive more than 27
million dollars in the first three years of the extension.
His 25-day holdout made him the most highly paid player in
Kansas City Chiefs history.
