A Kansas State University football player is in trouble with the law.

Tight end Rashaad Norwood was arrested early Sunday after an incident at an apartment.

Kansas State head coach Ron Prince announced Monday that Norwood has been suspended from the Wildcat football team.

Police say the 22-year-old senior is facing charges of battery, criminal damage to property, criminal trespass, and obstruction. Riley County Police say Norwood was arrested the first time after a brief foot chase.

Bond was set at $2,000 and police ordered him to stay away from the woman's apartment. But police say that a few hours after his first arrest, Norwood returned to the woman's home and he was charged with criminal trespass a second time. Bond was set at $3,000.

"We have high standards that our players need to be held accountable to," Prince said. "Rashaad will be suspended and his overall standing with the program will be reassessed once the judicial system has run its course."

Norwood was Kansas State's second-leading receiver a year ago with 36 catches for 358 yards.
