Chiefs RB Bennett making most of opportunity as starter

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- Kansas City coach Herm Edwards says
Michael Bennett is having a good camp.
Larry Johnson is still a holdout, and Priest Holmes is still a
question mark, so Bennett is the Chiefs' first-string running back
for now.
Bennett figures to be a significant part of the offense this
Johnson set an NFL record with 416 carries last year, and
Edwards would like to cut that back.
Bennett played in just eleven games last year because of
hamstring and ankle injuries. He gained 200 yards on 36 carries in
His best year was with the Minnesota Vikings in 2002, when he
ran for 1,296 yards and five touchdowns and earned a spot in the
Pro Bowl.
