KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City got a pitching gem from Kyle
Davies in beating Minnesota 1-0. In his home debut at Kaufman
Stadium, Davies pitched three-hit ball into the seventh inning and
got relief help from three others to get the win.
Davies was acquired by the Royals in the trade that sent
reliever Octavio Dotel to the Braves.
Tony Pena Junior scored the game's only run in the third inning.
He led off with a double down the left-field line, went to third on
a sacrifice and scored on a sac-fly by Jason LaRue.
Joekin Soria earned his 12th save in 15 opportunities.
Matt Garza took the loss for the Twins.
