MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- The Big 12 Conference has awarded a
medical redshirt to Kansas State forward Bill Walker. Walker played
just six games last season due to an injury.
The 6-foot-6 freshman suffered a season-ending knee injury
January sixth in a loss at Texas A-and-M. Walker had surgery on his
knee in January, and the team says he has almost completely
recovered.
Before the injury, Walker averaged eleven points and four
rebounds a game.
He was the most highly sought freshman ever to play for the
Wildcats.
Kansas State was 23-and-12 last season and 10-6 in the Big 12.
