Goodell decides no training camp for suspended 'Pacman' Jones
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman"
Jones has had his request to join the Tennessee Titans in training
camp denied by N-F-L commissioner Roger Goodell (guh-DEHL').
Titans coach Jeff Fisher says he learned of Goodell's decision
shortly before a news conference.
Jones had been preparing for camp as his agent contended that
Goodell never ruled out training camp or preseason games when he
suspended Jones for the 2007 season for conduct detrimental to the
league.
Since the suspension was handed down in April, Jones was
arrested for a sixth time since being drafted. The latest arrest
was for two counts of felony coercion stemming from a fight at a
Las Vegas strip club.
