FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) -- About four dozen animal-rights
advocates, many with their dogs in tow, gathered today outside the
Atlanta Falcons' headquarters. They were calling for the suspension
of quarterback Michael Vick following his indictment on dogfighting
charges.
The protest was organized by People for the Ethical Treatment of
Animals.
Vick is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
The N-F-L has said it it is monitoring legal developments in the
case in which Vick and three associates face multiple charges
outlined in an 18-page indictment released last week.
