KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Billy Butler hit a three-run homer and
collected six R-B-Is as Kansas City ripped Seattle 17-to-3.
Butler's blast highlighted the Royals' six-run first inning off
loser Ryan Feierabend (FEHR'-uh-bend). Butler added a bases-loaded
double in a four-run second that put the Royals ahead 10-to-1.
Butler scored three times and became the first rookie to have a
six-R-B-I game this season.
David DeJesus, Jason LaRue and Russ Gload drove in two runs
apiece as Kansas City dropped the Mariners to 0-and-2 since manager
John McLaren replaced Mike Hargrove.
The two-game skid follows an eight-game winning streak.
Jorge De La Rosa gave up three runs and eight hits in seven
innings to improve to 6-and-9.
Feierabend is 1-and-3 after surrendering ten runs and eight hits
in an inning and a-third.
