Royals Win Second Straight Over Angels

A five-run attack in the eighth inning
helped the Kansas City Royals beat the Los Angeles Angels last
night 12-to-4.

Alex Gordon, John Buck and Billy Butler all homered for the
Royals as they defeated the A-L West Division leaders for the
second straight night.

Gil Meche (5-6) picked up the win, allowing three earned runs on
seven hits in six innings while striking out six.

The Royals plan to send Jorge De La Rosa (4-9) to the mound as
the series concludes this afternoon. The Angels plan to go with
Jered Weaver (6-3) or Joe Saunders (3-0).
