Regional top-seed Wichita State (49-19) will open NCAA Tournament baseball action against a team they haven't faced in the postseason in 25 years. The University of New Orleans (37-24) will take the fourth seed in the WSU regional and face the Shockers on Friday night. The two teams last met in the NCAA Tournament in 1982 - with the Shockers beating the Privateers twice in the New Orleans regional to advance to their first appearance in the College World Series. In the series history, New Orleans holds an overall lead of 7-6.
The Arizona Wildcats (40-15) are the second-seed in the regional and will tangle with three-seed Oral Roberts (40-15) in the early game on Friday.
