KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Vladimir Guerrero hit a grand slam to
power the Los Angeles Angels to their tenth victory in 12 games, a
7-to-5 win at Kansas City.
Guerrero launched his eighth homer of the season and fifth
career grand slam to put the Angels ahead 4-to-0 in the first
inning. He has 27 R-B-Is in 25 games this season.
Gary Matthews Junior went 4-for-5 with three runs scored as the
Halos sent the Royals to their seventh loss in nine games.
Bartolo colon upped his record to 3-and-0 despite allowing five
runs and nine hits in five innings. Francisco Rodriguez picked up
his tenth save with a hitless ninth.
Zach Greinke (GREHN'-kee) surrendered six runs and ten hits in
five innings to drop to 1-and-3.
