Charges against Kansas State quarterback Ell Roberson appear unlikely.

The Maricopa County attorney in Phoenix, Rick Romley, said today
the allegation of sexual assault against the Wildcat star was not
corroborated.

A 22-year-old female acquaintance accused Roberson of assaulting
her at a Paradise Valley hotel in suburban Phoenix on New Year's
Day. That was the day before K-State lost to Ohio State in the
Fiesta Bowl.

Roberson has told police the sex was consensual.

Romley said this morning in a radio interview he had not yet seen the police report. But he said he's not considering criminal charges because of additional statements made by the woman.
