Dec 31-- A purple bus named the "Cat Tracker" was
popular with Kansas State fans today at the Fiesta Bowl Parade in
downtown Phoenix.

Arizona's single-largest spectator event included 12 floats,
eight large balloons, equestrian units and marching bands.

K-State fans hollered at the Cat Tracker drove by, filled with
more Wildcat boosters and blaring recorded music.

The Wildcats and Ohio State meet on the gridiron Friday night at
the Fiesta Bowl.

And today's parade included both schools' presidents.

A man wearing a K-State bandanna and walking on stilts alongside
the Cat Tracker stopped and high-fived eight-year-old Shane
Blumentritt.

The child, visiting Phoenix with his parents from Alaska, said:
"I like the tall guys."
