December 29 - The Wildcats return to post-season play was a bitter one on Thursday night, as they were soundly beaten by Rutgers, 37 to 10 in the Texas Bowl.

Ray Rice rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown and Tim Brown
caught two TD passes for the 16th-ranked Scarlet Knights (11-2)

Linebacker Quintero Frierson returned an interception 27 yards
for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage of the second half
for Rutgers.

Josh Freeman was 10-of-21 for 129 yards with two interceptions,
and Yamon Figurs returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown for
Kansas State (7-6).
