DALLAS (AP) -- Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue says Lamar Hunt was focused on the best interest of football fans, "especially his beloved Chiefs fans."

An outpouring of tributes began soon after word came out of
Dallas Wednesday night that the Kansas City Chiefs owner had died due to complications from prostate cancer. He'd been hospitalized there

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was Hunt's neighbor. Jones said
it would be hard to find anyone who's made a bigger contribution to
the NFL than Hunt.

Chiefs president and general manager Carl Peterson said "his was a creative, constructive and loving life not nearly long enough."
