December 11--Wichita State continues its move to the top of the college basketball rankings. The Shockers are ranked 8th in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll, released this afternoon.

The Shockers are also up to number 10 in the ESPN/USA Today poll.

There wasn't any change at the top of the Associated Press top-25 college basketball poll.

The top three teams in last week's poll remain in the same
positions, with UCLA first, Pittsburgh second and North Carolina
third. The 8-and-0 Bruins were given 58 first place votes by the
panel of sportscasters and writers while the Panthers were
number-one on eleven ballots. Third-ranked North Carolina got one
first-place nod, while fourth-ranked Ohio State got two.

Rounding out the top five this week is defending national
champion Florida.

The second five features Duke, Wisconsin, Wichita State, Alabama
and Arizona.

The second ten this week consists of Kansas, LSU, Texas
A&M, Connecticut, Oklahoma State, Gonzaga, Washington, Butler,
Memphis and Marquette.

The last five teams this week are Notre Dame, Oregon, Syracuse,
Air Force and Nevada.
