Hutchinson Lands Another Big Golf Tournament

Some of the best players in golf will return
to Hutchinson in 2006 when the United States Senior Open is held at
Prairie Dunes Country Club. The announcement was made this morning
by the United States Golf Association.

The Senior Open will be played July sixth through ninth.

It will be the first time the senior event has been held at
Prairie Dunes.

Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson are among the players on the Senior Tour.

Previous national championships held at the central Kansas
course include the 2002 U-S Women's Open and the 1995 U-S-G-A
Senior Amateur and the 1964, 1980 and 1991 Women's Amateur. In all,
Prairie Dunes has hosted eight U-S-G-A championships.
