Judge Dismisses KU Ticket Lawsuit

A judge has refused to block the Kansas men's basketball program from charging some season-ticket holders an extra $5,000rs.

KU is requiring $5,000 donations to the Williams Education Fund as a condition of keeping season tickets for prime seats in Allen Fieldhouse. Those who don't make a donation can still buy or keep season tickets, but they'll be given seats elsewhere in the fieldhouse.

Some long-time season-ticket holders went to court over the new requirement.

Late Tuesday, a Douglas County judge refused to put the rule on hold until the case goes to trial. Tomorrow is the deadline for KU fans to apply for season tickets for the Jayhawks' upcoming season.
