Legendary basketball coach John Wooden will be
among six people entering the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of
Fame.

The new inductees were announced Thursday. An induction ceremony is March 6 during the MVC men's basketball tourney in St. Louis.

Wooden was 44-15 in two years at Indiana State in the 1940s
before going to UCLA, where he led the Bruins to 10 national
championships. Wooden turned 98 this month.

Others inductees include basketball players Junior Bridgeman of
Louisville and Lorri Bauman of Drake, track and field coach John
Coughlan of Illinois State, basketball coach Eddie Hickey of
Creighton and Saint Louis, and Drake coach and athletics director
John Griffith.
