Following a 2008 season which saw Lehning average 11.3 points per game, 7.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists, she was recognized by a number of media outlets for her effort. Organizations to honor Lehning included: WBCA Region V All-America finalist, Kansas City Star co-Player of the Year and All-Big 12 first team and the Waco Tribune All-Big 12 second team.
