Mark Turgeon says he will remain at a Wichita State. In a statement released today, Turgeon said "Today I woke up and my gut told me Wichita State is where I need to be. I pray that all of the Kansas basketball family will understand my decision."
The Wichita State basketball coach had been contacted about the job opening at the University of Kansas. Turgeon played and coach at KU.
