Roy Williams is going home to his alma mater, and a former player understands. "I'm a little shocked, real surprised, but in the end you gotta do what makes you happy," said BJ Williams.
Wichita State coach Mark Turgeon coached with Williams. "It's a sad day for Kansas basketball. He's been so good to us for 15 years giving us everything he had, and he's a great coach but he's even a better person," said Turgeon.
Some basketball analysts consider Turgeon one of the candidates to replace Williams at KU.
