Kansas State University quarterback Josh Freeman has been named the Big 12's co-offensive player of the week.
Freeman passed for three touchdowns and was responsible for two
more in the Wildcats' win over North Texas. He completed 18 of 24
passes for 232 yards to win the honor for the third week in his
career. He shared the week's designation with Texas quarterback
Colt McCoy.
Missouri's Stryker Sulak was named defensive player of the week
for his five tackles for losses, three of them quarterback sacks.
The defensive end made a total of eight tackles in the Tigers'
victory over Illinois.
And the Tigers' Jeremy Maclin took special teams honors for two
kickoff returns for touchdown, including a 99-yarder. He had 201
return yards in the game, including 145 yards on three kickoff
returns and 56 yards on four punt returns in Missouri's defeat of
Illinois.
