Wednesday's outburst by Wichita Wingnuts Manager Kash Beauchamp is giving the minor league team national attention.
Beauchamp was suspended for four games after his tirade in front of the home plate umpire.
Video of the incident has been shown on ABC's Good Morning America, ESPN and CNN. Inside Edition plans to run the incident on tonight's show.
As a result of the incident, Beauchamp and the Wingnuts announced today that they will hold a charity auction of Beauchamp's uniform for Southwest Christian Care in Atlanta, GA. Southwest Christian Care serves terminally ill patients and special needs children. Its services are provided to patients and their families at no cost. Beauchamp is from the Atlanta area. His father, who died late last year, was a scout for the Atlanta Braves organization.
Items to be auctioned off include the uniform jersey, hat and turf shoes worn by Beauchamp during his ejection.
