Wednesday's outburst by Wichita Wingnuts Manager Kash Beauchamp is giving the minor league team national attention.

The national attention given manager Kash Beauchamp's tirade has been;
Good for the Wingnuts
Bad for the Wingnuts

Beauchamp was suspended for four games after his tirade in front of the home plate umpire.

Video of the incident has been shown on ABC's Good Morning America, ESPN and CNN. Inside Edition plans to run the incident on tonight's show.

As a result of the incident, Beauchamp and the Wingnuts announced today that they will hold a charity auction of Beauchamp's uniform for Southwest Christian Care in Atlanta, GA. Southwest Christian Care serves terminally ill patients and special needs children. Its services are provided to patients and their families at no cost. Beauchamp is from the Atlanta area. His father, who died late last year, was a scout for the Atlanta Braves organization.

Items to be auctioned off include the uniform jersey, hat and turf shoes worn by Beauchamp during his ejection.

Why not a local charity was my first reaction then read HB's comments except don't agree about the term Selfish Wichitans. Great coach's heart is also with others less fortunate no matter where they may be. Wichita charity can get the next uniform!

The thing this man done was awesome, but why wasn't the uniform used for a local chairity instead. We have a lot of organizations here in Wichita who could benefit from the money this uniform will raise.

I think it was set up. They said it was going to be crazy baseball. The games are fun to go to, you never no what to expect. They even talked about pigs running out onto the field. As popular as wrestling on TV is they do this type of stuff all of the time.

From Wing Nuts to just Plain Nuts

The childish triade of the Wingnut coach on Wednesday in no way endeared me to attend Wingnut games. It was irresponsible and showed a lack of control. Beauchamp is a poor example and should not be the Wingnuts coach. How long will it take for him to end up in jail for hurting someone because of his uncontrolled anger?

I was in New York City this week and the local news carried the Beauchamp story. I don't know if the national attention is good or bad but I was surprised to see Wichita on the Big Apple news.

Who care's if the charity isn't in Wichita? It's still going to a good cause! There are people everywhere that need help, quit being selfish Wichitans!

WHY HAVE A CHARITY AUCTION FOR A FACILITY THAT IS NOT IN WICHITA?
