Rookie forward Michael Beasley did not finish his
first practice with the Miami Heat summer league team today after
being struck in the chest by a teammate's elbow.

The Heat said Beasley, the Number 2 overall pick in last week's
NBA draft, was being taken for evaluation and had no further
details on the extent of the injury.

The former Kansas State University sensation and the Heat are
scheduled to begin play in the Orlando summer league on Monday.
