Royals place Callaspo on DL

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The Kansas City Royals have placed
infielder Alberto Callaspo on the 15-day disabled list for
treatment of an unspecified medical condition.
Filling his position on the roster is first baseman Billy
Butler. He's being called up from Triple-A Omaha for tonight's game
against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Callaspo has been serving as a reserve player, hitting .290 in
42 games this season.
Butler was sent down to Omaha May 29th. He was hitting .263 with
18 RBIs in 53 games with the Royals. He compiled a .337 record and
13 RBIs in 26 games in Omaha.
