Stay up-to-date with KAKE News:

The Wichita Wingnuts honored veteran Shortstop Kevin Hooper during Saturday night's game. Hooper recently picked up his 1, 000th career professional hit. Unfortunatly, Hooper and the Wingnuts could not take down the El Paso Diablos, losing 3 to 2. Chris Colton hit a solo homerun in the 9th inning to pull Wichita within one run, but the Wingnuts could not push across the tying run. El Paso and Wichita round out their three game series at 2:05 pm on Sunday at Lawrence Dumont Stadium. A Wingnuts-record of over 8, 000 fans saw Saturday night's game.
