Shockers come home

The Wichita State Shocker baseball team returned to town on Monday after losing to Florida State in the NCAA Super Regionals over the weekend. The Shocks dropped the decisive Game 3 of the series withe FSU 11 to 4 on Sunday. Wichita State will lose quite a few players off the 2008 Missouri Valley Championship team; ten current WSU players were drafted by Major League teams last week. Gene Stephenson said he feels the team came up just short of its goal of advancing to the College World Series in Omaha. Wichita State has not played in a CWS since 1996.
