Kansas State wins 5-0 against Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas State held Kansas to just seven
hits and went on to win 5-0 Friday night.
Brad Hutt, the starter for the Wildcats, and reliever Thomas
Rooke combined on the shutout.
Kansas State moves into a seventh-place tie with Kansas in the
conference standings.
The Jayhawks are 30-and-25 overall and 9-and-16 in Big 12 play.
The Wildcats are 25-and-27 overall and 9-and-16 in the Big 12.
Nate Tenbrink had a two-out, two-RBI single in the sixth inning
to help seal the win for Kansas State.
Kansas starter Nick Czyz pitched the loss for the Jayhawks.
Nick Faunce, John Allman, Erik Morrison and Tony Thompson
combined for Kansas' seven hits, but none led to any scores.
