Kansas has four players drafted in fourth round
LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas' two All-Americans had distinctly
different fortunes in this year's NFL draft.
Left tackle Anthony Collins, who anchored the offensive line
during the Jayhawks' 12-1 season, lasted until the fourth round
today before being picked by the Cincinnati Bengals.
His All-American teammate, cornerback Aqib Talib, was snapped up
in the first round yesterday by Tampa Bay.
Later in today's fourth round, Kansas tight end Derek Fine was
taken by the Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Marcus Henry went to
the New York Jets.
Fine's 46 receptions last season were a school record for tight
ends. He also became Kansas' career tight ends reception leader
with 98 for 1,009 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Henry finished his career ranked 10th all-time at at Kansas with
104 receptions.
