Kansas City Chiefs Defensive end Jared
Allen is expected to sign a lucrative six-year contract today with
the Minnesota Vikings.

Allen led the NFL in sacks last season, despite being suspended
the first two games because of multiple DUI convictions. If he's
cited again, he could be suspended for an entire year.
Allen could sign a contract as early as today that would make
him one of the NFL's highest-paid defensive stars.
There were reports in The Kansas City Star and other outlets
that Allen's contract would be for about 74 million dollars, with
around 31 million guaranteed.
Under terms of the reported deal, the Chiefs would wind up with
