KU's Collins Undergoes Knee Surgery

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self says
guard Sherron Collins has had successful arthroscopic surgery on
his left knee.

The oft-injured Collins missed six games during the 2007-2008
season recovering from surgery to repair a stress fracture in his
left foot. He played through other troublesome lower-leg injuries
during Kansas' national title season.

Self says Collins also had knee problems this year. He says the
surgery went well and that doctors expect Collins to make a full
recovery.

The sophomore point guard from Chicago earned the 2008 Big 12
Conference Sixth Man Award by averaging 9.3 points and three
assists this season.

He scored 11 points in each of the Jayhawks Final Four wins.
