Stay up-to-date with KAKE News:

Sean Sutton is out as Oklahoma State's head basketball coach after two seasons.

OSU officials announced Sutton and Athletic Director Mike Holden have mutually agreed on a new direction for the Cowboy program.

There had been speculation Oklahoma State could pursue KU coach Bill Self, who played for the Cowboys. Self told reporters in Lawrence today he has not been contacted by anyone at OSU, and if he was called he would urge the school to look in a different direction.

Sutton was 39-29 in two seasons in Stillwater.
