Royals 6, Angels 5

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- Damon Hollins hit a two-run homer as
Kansas City beat the Los Angeles Angels 6-5 today.
Hollins is a non-roster invitee who played last year in Japan.
Left-hander Jorge De La Rosa pitched four innings for the
Royals, giving up two runs on four hits including a home run. He
walked three and struck out three.
Manager Trey Hillman De La Rosa had better command of his
fastball and today's effort was his best.
The Royals took the lead in the eighth on Matt Tupman's squeeze
bunt that scored Ross Gload.
Mike Maroth picked up the win in his first outing but gave up a
home run to Terry Evans on his second pitch.
Joel Peralta worked a perfect ninth, striking out two, for his
second save.
