MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- Michael Beasley scored 33 points as
Kansas State beat Colorado 78-72 tonight.
It was the fourth straight 30-point game for the 6-foot-10
freshman. Beasley grabbed 14 rebounds for his 26th double-double
and set a Kansas State single-season scoring record.
Bill Walker had 25 points for the Wildcats (19-10, 9-6), who
snapped a four-game losing streak and may have assured themselves
of their first NCAA tournament bid in 12 seasons.
Marcus Hall had 22 points for Colorado (11-18, 3-12) and Richard
Roby had 15.
Beasley has 780 points this season to surpass the record of 768
set by Mitch Richmond 20 years ago.
