WSU wins last home game of the season

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- P.J. Couisnard scored a career-high 25 points as Wichita State beat Evansville 68-54 tonight.

The Shockers (11-18, 4-13 Missouri Valley) moved past Evansville (9-19, 3-14) in the conference standings, leaving the Aces alone in last place.

Shy Ely led Evansville with 16 points.

Wichita State led by three midway through the second half before breaking the game open with the help of a 3-pointer by Wendell Preadom.

Couisnard added a deep 3-pointer and two free throws to give the Shockers a 57-49 lead with 4:30 left.

Ramon Clemente had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Wichita State.
