One of the most popular players in Wichita State baseball history is coming back to Wichita to play pro baseball.
The Wichita Wingnuts announced today they've signed Kevin Hooper for the upcoming season.
Hooper played for the Shockers from 1996-1999. He was named an All-America in his senior season. He played briefly with the Detroit Tigers in 2005 and 2006.
The Wingnuts open their season May 7th.
