Dietz scores 20 to lead No. 17 Kansas State past Iowa State 45-42

AMES, Iowa (AP) -- In women's basketball, No. 17 Kansas State
held off Iowa State's second-half charge for a 45-42 win tonight in
Kansas State (17-6, 9-1 Big 12) has won 12 of 13 after a 5-5
start and remains tied with Baylor for first in the Big 12.
Kimberly Dietz led K-State, scoring 18 of her 20 points in the
first half.
The Wildcats beat Iowa State by 31 at home last month, but they
weren't sure of the victory until ISU's Alison Lacey missed a
leaner with six seconds left.
Lacey's 13 points led Iowa State (15-8, 4-6) and Jocelyn
Anderson scored 10. The Cyclones shot only 32 percent and were just
4-for-21 from 3-point range.
