COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri coach Mike Anderson has kicked
guard Stefhon Hannah off the team.
Hannah suffered a broken jaw in a nightclub altercation that led
to the suspension of five players. He was Missouri's leading
scorer.
The university says Anderson dismissed Hannah for violating team
rules.
Hannah has been at his home in Chicago recovering from the
injury, which was expected to sideline him for most or all of the
rest of the season.
Hannah returned to campus several days ago for the first time
since the nightclub incident and was arrested on a charge of
third-degree misdemeanor assault.
Missouri is 13-11 overall and 1-3 since the incident. The Tigers
are 3-6 in the Big 12, tied for ninth in the conference.
----
Senior guard Jason Horton was arrested on suspicion of assault
for allegedly punching a nightclub employee in the face. Hannah is
accused of assaulting the same employee.
