COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- The Missouri Tigers carry a 13-game home
winning streak into tomorrow night's game against the unbeaten and
third-ranked Kansas Jayhawks.
The Tigers beat then-Number 12 Texas last week, but they
squandered whatever momentum they had with a five-point loss at
Iowa State on Wednesday.
Coach Mike Anderson says practice this week is about getting
Missouri (11-6, 1-1 Big 12) ready for its biggest test of the
The Tigers are averaging only about 6,200 fans a game at home,
but Mizzou Arena should have a full house for the Jayhawks.
Kansas (17-0, 2-0) is one of three unbeaten teams in the country
along with North Carolina and Memphis. The Jayhawks are five wins
shy of the school record 22-0 start in 1996-97.
Missouri is 4-2 against Top 25 opponents since the Mizzou Arena
opened in 2004-05, including a four-point victory over Number 7
Kansas in 2005.
