DETROIT (AP) -- Detroit left-hander Nate Robertson enters the new
baseball season armed with a new contract. The two sides avoided
arbitration by reaching agreement on a three-year pact worth $21.25
million.
Robertson went 9-and-13 with a 4.76 ERA in 30 starts with the
Tigers last season. He would have been eligible for free agency
after the 2009 campaign.
