NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- Osiris Eldridge had 21 points and three
rebounds to lead Illinois State to a 72-51 victory over Wichita
State tonight.
Illinois State remains an undefeated 6-0 in the Missouri Valley
Conference with the win. The Redbirds started the game with a 7-0
run and led by as many as 25 points in the second half.
Wichita State stands at 8-9 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
Both Anthony Slack and Brandom Sampay had 13 points for Illinois
State.
Ramon Clemente led Wichita State with 12 points and seven
rebounds. Gal Mekel also was in the double digits for the Shockers,
scoring 11 points.
