KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City team captain Brian Waters
says all of the Chiefs are responsible for the team's performance
on the field this year.
Waters says there is plenty of blame to go around in what could
turn out to be Kansas City's worst season in 20 years.
The Chiefs are 4-9 and coming off a 41-7 blowout at Denver that
was their sixth loss in a row.
The Chiefs play Tennessee this week in their final home game,
and for the third time in two week, a key player will be attending
the funeral of a loved one the day before a game.
Kolby Smith is slated to be the starting running back against
Tennessee. He will be in Florida on Saturday for services for his
grandfather.
Smith assured coach Herm Edwards that he will be back in time
for the game.
