Texas-Arlington 60, Wichita St. 59
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Brandon Long scored with six seconds left
to give Texas-Arlington a 60-59 win over Wichita State tonight.
Texas-Arlington (8-0) was led by Rog'er Guignard with 17 points.
P.J. Couisnard scored 20 points for Wichita State (5-3),
including 16 points in the second half.
Couisnard scored five straight points to give the Shockers a
53-52 lead with 5:31 to play.
Anthony Vereen made a three-point play to get the Mavericks with
59-58 with 1:25 remaining.
Wichita State then missed a 3-pointer and had a turnover to set
up Long's game-winning shot.
